Seoul Video Production Locations
Seoul Skyline - Lotte World Tower
Seoul’s skyline is one of the most modern and expansive in the world. There are a multitude of high-rise office buildings and residential buildings. These include the Gangnam Finance Center, the Tower Palace, Namsan Seoul Tower and the remarkable Lotte World Tower. The Lotte World Tower skyscraper reaches a staggering height of 555 m and is also currently the world’s fifth tallest building.
Namsan Seoul Tower
Rising almost 500 meters above the city, Seoul Tower is a communications and observation tower, rising 500 m above Seoul, that provides cinematic views of the city nestled on the side of Mount Namsan. You can take a cable car up the mountain to the tower base. From there, you can go up to four different observation decks with one being a rotating restaurant. Another level is popular for being able to hang locks that symbolize eternal love, and this has been featured in many Korean movies and shows.
Dongdaemun Design Plaza
Known as DDP, this elegantly sleek design center is situated in Seoul's Dongdaemun area. Dongdaemun is a popular shopping district that surrounds the silver, orb-like DDP building that looks like something from a distant future or outer space. This complex houses work spaces, showrooms, offices, and design studios. The design center lights up beautifully at night, with its main highlight being the 25,550 white LED roses that light up.
Bukchon Hanok Village
The Bukchon Hanok Village is the best place to capture Korean traditional culture and architecture. The neighborhoods feature quaint narrow streets and alleys along with Hanoks, which are traditional Korean houses that were first conceived and built in the 14th century in the time of the Joseon Dynasty. The architecture is designed with many factors taken into consideration. Thought is given to position according to its surroundings and the seasons.
